Learner Leadership

At Lyndon, we listen carefully to all feedback, whether from parents, carers or staff members, and – crucially – the learners themselves.

 

Our School Council meets once per half-term, to discuss topics raised by learners and to let them know about how the school has responded to aspects raised previously. All Lyndon learners have the chance to find out what is discussed when the notes from the meetings are shared by Tutors. This is supported by the School Prefect programme, which allows learners to take ownership of aspects of school development, developing their leadership skills.

 

Lyndon learners also have the chance to share their views during tutor times and via online surveys, when they can give their responses to a range of questions covering areas such as the curricula they follow, feedback on their classwork, the leadership of the school, safety, behaviour, homework and preparation for the future. Following the surveys, a range of learners who provide comments and suggestions are invited to attend consultation meetings, where they can discuss their ideas in greater detail.
