Lyndon School is a Rights Respecting School.
A message from our Principal:
We are very proud that we are a Rights Respecting School, thank you to learners, colleagues, governors, parents and carers for your hard work and commitment. Our School Charter created by the whole school community defines a set of values which are actively upheld by everyone in our Lyndon Community.

UNICEF Rights Respecting School helps us to use the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) as the values framework that enables us to raise awareness amongst our learners and help prepare them for life beyond Lyndon School.
Our aim is to ensure the understanding of the consequences of individual and group actions on the rights of others locally and globally. The articles of the Convention are based on the recognition of every child’s basic needs in order to thrive.

We ensure our learners learn about their right to survive and have good health, be protected from harm, develop their talents and skills, participate in the world to which they belong.
Learners learn about the UNCRC through Personal Development (PRSHE) lessons, assemblies, tutor time and in other curriculum areas which also include teaching about UNCRC and promote respect for children’s rights.
Lyndon School has focused on whole school projects with our learners and staff ambassadors to ensure the whole community is aware of the rights for all children in our local community and all over the world.
