In the first week of the holidays, Lyndon School opened its doors to the Class of 2026 – Lyndon School’s cohort of year 7s, who were to join us in September 2021. This year’s cohort of Year 7 students had chosen Lyndon, with the support of the parents and carers, perhaps without setting foot into the building due to restrictions because of the pandemic. Therefore, it was vital that all students were invited to take part in some learning activities, familiarise themselves with the building and build relationships with both the staff and their peer group.
125 students took part in the week. Students attended each day between 8.45 and 14.20. Each day Started with an assembly on the school’s core values, key messages and an overview of the day.
There were a host of activities enjoyed by the students:
- STEM
- English
- Maths
- Humanities
- PE
- Creative Arts
- Food and Nutrition
- Inflatable Games
