SMSC Provision at Lyndon - Developing the Whole Child.
Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural development, (SMSC) At Lyndon School is an important part of our curriculum and in keeping with the ethos of the school, encouraging all students to trust and respect those around them through an appreciation of diversity, community and the promotion of self-awareness. The SMSC provision aims to develop knowledge of a range of topics; develop skills of enquiry and communication; develop an understanding of the spiritual, moral, social and cultural values of the school, society and of people of diverse faiths; promote fundamental British values.
The Aspire programme offers students an opportunity to explore core aspects of our SMSC provision in more detail, the programme works in conjunction with the whole school tutor and assembly programme to ensure all students have a good understanding of key British Values underpinning our school ethos and community responsibility. Throughout the academic year, students will explore aspects of spiritual, moral, social and cultural values of our school community.
