Learners at Lyndon are excited about books and enjoy reading for fun
Lyndon School in Solihull is excited to announce the launch of its flagship programme, Bookbuzz 2022, a reading programme that helps schools inspire a love of reading for pleasure in eleven to thirteen-year-olds.
Created by Book Trust, the programme gives Lyndon learners the opportunity to select a book to take home, carefully selected by a panel of experts, including school librarians, teachers and children’s booksellers. The books reflect a variety of genres, styles and reading levels. Every learner has access to the Book Trust website with a wealth of information, including extracts from the books, a film featuring Bookbuzz authors, downloadable resources and exclusive competitions.
The Solihull school is also running a series of reading competitions, including a tutor group book swap enabling learners to access other books and discuss their reading experiences with one another.
