The PE department endeavour to make PE an enjoyable and valuable experience for all students. Students are given the opportunity to not only develop their physical skills, but also their decision making and evaluative skills.
Lyndon has extensive PE facilities. There is a four badminton court sports hall, gymnasium, large hall, a field accommodating several football pitches and two netball courts.
We offer a range of both competitive and recreational activities including; football, rugby, basketball, volleyball, badminton, fitness, gymnastics, dance, netball, rounders, athletics, cricket, trampolining and hockey.
Key Stage 3
At Key Stage 3, students are taught in single gender groups. Students have two lessons of PE each week, during which they follow a broad and balanced curriculum.
Key Stage 4
At Key Stage 4 all students continue to take part in PE. This can be through core PE, BTEC Sport or GCSE PE.
At Lyndon we offer students the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities outside of PE lessons. We regularly enter teams into local leagues and tournaments and strive to achieve success at regional and national level.
