Mock examinations for Year 11 commence on 21st November 2016 until 9th December 2016 as per the academic calendar. These mock examinations will prepare students fully for their GCSE examinations in the summer of 2017 and also help to inform both staff and students what areas of development need further attention in Spring Term lessons.
We will provide your child with a copy of the exam timetable, and there will be a further copy available on the school website. Please take the time to talk this through with them, along with the Information for Candidates documents below, as the same rules apply in mock examinations as they would when sitting an external examination.
Students are expected to attend full time and in uniform. When not in an exam, students will attend normal lessons but will have time for revision during these lessons.
You can support your child by ensuring they are fully prepared, on time and equipped with a minimum of two pens, two pencils, a ruler, protractor and a calculator. These need to be in a clear pencil case.
As these exams will give you and your child a clearer picture of the grades they are currently working towards, it is advised they are taken seriously and revision is encouraged and monitored at home.
Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
